Thank You to Our Volunteers
As we settle into another wonderful school year, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the many parents and volunteers who have generously given their time and talents to support our school.
Thank you to our PAC Committee for organizing and hosting the Meet the Teacher Reception. This special event provided families with an opportunity to connect with staff, build relationships, and celebrate the beginning of a new school year. We are also grateful to the parent volunteers who assisted with set-up and clean-up, helping to make the evening a welcoming and successful event.
A special thank you goes to our Fundraising Committee for their hard work planning and coordinating the distribution of our chocolate and raffle books. This is one of the school’s most significant fundraising initiatives, and its success depends on the dedication and organization of many volunteers. We are equally appreciative of the parents who helped distribute these items to families over the past three days.
Finally, thank you to our Grade 3 and 4 parent volunteers who accompanied students on the Agriculture Field Trip.

THE TERRY FOX RUN
St. Charles Catholic School is proud to participate in the Terry Fox School Run, an opportunity for our students to honour Terry Fox’s legacy of courage, perseverance, and hope while supporting cancer research. Through this event, students learn the importance of making a difference in their communities and helping others. Families who wish to support our fundraising efforts can donate through our school’s Terry Fox page: Support Our Terry Fox School Run. Every contribution, big or small, helps continue Terry’s dream of a world without cancer. Thank you for supporting this meaningful cause and helping our students make a difference.
ROME 2027: An Unforgettable Journey of Faith, History, and Culture
We are excited to invite all Grade 7 and Grade 8 students to participate in our Rome 2027 School Trip!
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow students and their families to experience the rich history, culture, and spiritual significance of one of the world’s most remarkable cities while creating lasting memories with their classmates.
An email will be sent to all Grade 7 and Grade 8 families in the coming days with preliminary trip information and an opportunity to indicate their interest in participating.
DONOR TREE: Growing a Legacy of Generosity
We are proud to unveil the St. Charles Catholic School Donor Tree in our main front entrance, a lasting tribute to the generosity and commitment of the many individuals, families, businesses, and community partners who support our school.
Beginning with the 2024-2025 Turf Campaign, the Donor Tree will recognize the sponsors and contributors whose gifts have helped strengthen our school community and enhance opportunities for our students. Each donor will be honored with an engraved leaf.
As future donations are received, new leaves will be added, allowing the tree to continue growing for years to come.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Secure Construction Group for their generous donation of materials and labour. Their craftsmanship, support, and labour of love helped turn our dream of creating a donor wall into a reality. Their contribution has provided us with a meaningful way to recognize those who invest in the future of St. Charles Catholic School.
To all of our donors, past, present, and future, thank you for helping our school community grow stronger together. Your generosity is making a lasting difference in the lives of our students.

As October begins on Thursday, please ensure that BASC registration forms and payment are submitted if your child requires care on the Early Dismissal Day or any other day during the month.
October Activities
- Kindergarten to Grade 2: Donut Decorating
- Grades 3 to 5: Cookie Baking
- Grades 6 to 8: Cheesecake Making and Halloween Craft
Full-Day BASC Programs
- Friday, October 9: Full-day BASC with a Halloween Party
- Friday, October 23: Full-day BASC with a Field Trip
Please note that spaces are limited. Registration must be completed by the posted deadlines in order to participate.
BASC Reminders
- Morning Drop-Off: Please buzz the BASC entrance and send your child in independently.
- After-School Pick-Up: A fob is required to enter the building. Registration forms and payment information are available through the school office.

The cutoff for the first lunch is this upcoming Wednesday, September 30 at 11:59 PM.
WINNIPEG TRANSIT
The Manitoba government and the City of Winnipeg are introducing free transit passes for students in Grades 6-12.
If your child requires a transit pass, please contact the school office at reception@stccs.ca.
