Academics

Elementary: Grades 3-6

Students follow the Manitoba Curriculum for all subject areas. Teachers provide various techniques and strategies for learning, encouraging students to reach their greatest potential, while challenging themselves. Skills that encourage thinking and communicating are evident in the classroom. Excellence in Writing and T.U.S.C. are an important part of these grade levels.

Through the integration of interactive boards in classrooms, a laptop cart and the computer lab, students sharpen their computer skills and understand technology’s place in education.

Homework is an important part of student development and is assigned on a regular basis. The assigned work may be written, studied, or researched and is to reinforce the skills developed during the day.

Active learning, continuous participation and joyful optimism permeates these classrooms and sets the stage for real understanding as students tackle powerhouse skills that further build the foundation for the upcoming middle school years.
