SCCS UPCOMING EVENTS
- Friday, March 3rd is an Inservice Day. There is no school as teachers will be writing report cards.
- Our Grs. 3-5 Choir will be competing in the Manitoba Music Festival on March 9th @ 10:00am. Details to follow.
- Our Middle Years choir will be competing in the Manitoba Music Festival on March 10th @ 12:30pm.
- There is a Rome Trip meeting for all families going to Rome on Monday, March 13th @ 6:30pm.
- Our Middle Years Science Fair is coming on Friday, March 17th.
- Friday, March 17th will also be a Colour Day for St. Patrick’s Day. We will also be collecting for Toonies for Tuition $2 that day. More information to follow.
- Book Fair Week begins on March 20th.
- Report cards are distributed on March 20th.
- Reconciliation for our Middle Years students is on March 22nd.
- Student Led Conferences will be held March 23rd and the morning of March 24th.
- Some of our Middle Years students, and their parents, leave for Rome with Mrs. Prettie on March 25th.
Re-registration Deadline This Friday
Re-registrations for the 2023-2024 school year are due no later than Feb. 24th to secure your spot for the next school year. If you haven’t done so already, please send in your child’s re-registration as soon as possible. Any current students whose re-registrations are not in the main office by Friday will not be guaranteed a spot for next school year, and will have to re-apply.

- Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast is coming Feb. 21st.
- Ash Wednesday School Mass is on Feb. 22nd. Fr. Michael will be celebrating Mass.
- Pink Shirt Day will be held on Feb. 23rd.
- Our next PAC Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 23rd @ 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. Please use your fobs to enter through the main front doors.

- All outstanding Middle Years assignments are due on Friday, February 24th to be credited towards Term 2 marks.
- PowerSchool Parent Portal accounts will be disabled on March 1st by the end of the day.

Middle Years Exams
Middle Years exams are just around the corner, and will be held February 6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th. Parents of Middle Years students will receive more detailed information next week.

- Our annual Kinder Fair and Grs. 1-8 General Open House will be held on January 31st as well. Kinder Fair begins at 6:00pm, and the Grs. 1-8 General Open House begins at 6:30pm.
- Wednesday February 1st is our kickoff assembly for “I Love to Read Month”. Our staff committee for this wonderful month have a lot of great ideas for students and staff to participate in. More details to follow!
- Popcorn Day will be held Friday February 3rd.
- Crazy Sock & Joke Day will be happening on February 10th.
- The Middle Years Ski Trip will be held February 19th.

- Wednesday evening at 6:30pm is our PAC Meeting. All parents are invited to attend the meeting. It will be held in the main gym.
- Thursday our students will have an assembly on “Storytelling & The Treaty Relationship.”
- Advent begins on Sunday, November 27th.
- Our annual Kinder Open House will be held at 6:30pm in the main gym on November 29th. If you know someone who is looking for Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year, please let them know about our Kinder Open House.
- On Dec. 1st, our Grs. 5-8 students will be heading to the Manitoba Moose game.
POWERSCHOOL
PowerSchool ParentPortals have been disabled November 8th so teaching staff can enter marks for report cards. If you have any questions in regards to your child, do contact the classroom/course teacher.
