PML REGISTRATION FORMS 2024-2025
Just a friendly reminder to submit registrations by Monday April 22 to avoid the $20 late fee. (The forms are found under the PML tab in the ParentZone on the school website.)
TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK…
- Our middle years students had Enrichment classes on Tuesday morning.
- Our grade 5 students had a Scientists in School Presentation this week.
- Mrs. Prettie and I attended our monthly Board Meeting on Wednesday evening.
LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING AFTER SPRING BREAK
- Monday, April 22nd is Earth Day Colour Day. Wear blue and green. 😊
- There is a Musical Bake Sale on April 22nd.
- The badminton tournaments begin the week of April 22nd.
- School Mass is on Tuesday, April 23rd @ 10:30am. Fr. Barry from St. Paul the Apostle Parish will be celebrating Mass with us.
- Grades 5 & 6 parents are invited to a Camp Manitou Parent Meeting on Wednesday, April 24th @ 6:00pm in the main gym.
- Grades 6 & 7 parents are invited to a Rome Trip Information Meeting on Wednesday, April 24th @ 6:30pm in the main gym. Make plans to attend and hear more about our upcoming Rome Trip for Spring Break 2025. So exciting!
- Uniform Fitting Day for the 2020-2025 school year will be held on Thursday, April 25th. A Sign-Up Genius link was sent out earlier this week to book your appointment.
LOOK WHAT’S COMING UP
- There will be a PML noon recital on April 30th.
- There is early dismissal on May 2nd @ 2:30pm.
- Our grade 8 class will be hosting their gr. 8 Candy Fundraiser on May 2nd. More details to follow. All proceeds will be going toward their Gr. 8 Farewell.
- The grades 3-6 classes will have a presentation from the Canadian Children’s Book Centre on May 3rd.
- Our School Musical is on May 6th at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Get your tickets soon! 😊
- Our grades 5 & 6 students will be heading to Camp Manitou from May 8th-10th.
- Our annual Kinder Mother’s Day Tea will be held on May 10th for all our Kinder Moms.
- Our last Popcorn Day for the year is on May 17th.
- Our annual Golf Tournament is on May 23rd.
- Bursary applications for the 2024-2025 school year are due by May 24th.
BASC
- There is BLINE on Wednesday.
- Father’s Day craft still has some spots.
- BASC Golf for May/June at Glendale has been canceled and will be rescheduled for September.
- There is a New Golf one day program for grades 5-8 only at this time. If interested, please contact Ms. Furutani.
OTHER
Reminder if your child is dropped off before 8:15 they are sent to BASC as all students need to be supervised. You will be charged a BASC fee for this service.
After school for BASC, please use your fob to enter the building or come in with another parent. It is posted beside the BASC board where the students are located.
MUSICAL
Two weeks away, is our school musical. “Junie B. Jones Jr.” Monday, May 6th at the WAG.
If you wish to purchase tickets for the performance, they are $10 and can be purchased in the front office or after school only.
Tickets are not sold at the WAG. There are also gift baskets in the front entrance way. There is a Kids basket, Couple basket and Family basket. Tickets are $2.00. Good Luck. Come and enjoy the show.
Still need volunteer hours? We are looking for 2 vans to help transport the props/sets to the WAG on Sunday, May 5th around noon. If you can help, please contact Ms. Furutani.
BURSARY APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Bursary applications for the 2024-2025 school year are due by May 24th. Bursary application forms can be found on our school website.
SCCS GOLF TOURNAMENT
This year’s Golf Tournament is Thursday, May 23, 2024 @ Breezy Bend Golf Course, please mark it in your calendars! We need help from the entire St Charles community to make this a success. We need golfers, hole sponsors (tax receipt provided) and we need prize donations. Forms can be found on the school website.
