Principal’s Update – September 20th, 2024
We’ve had an exciting and successful week at our school! Starting with Picture Day on Monday, everything went smoothly, and the students were all smiles. The picture proofs will be arriving soon and will be sent home with your child. A friendly reminder – if you wish to order class group photos, they must be purchased separately as they are not included.
On Wednesday, we hosted our Meet the Teacher Evening with an incredible turnout. It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce our Corporate Board, School Board, and our dedicated staff. I also had the chance to share our school’s emergency procedures, communication protocols, and our goals for the year. Thank you to everyone who attended and for being part of building a strong home-school connection.
Friday brought two amazing events – our Annual Christian Service and Terry Fox Day. These events tie perfectly into our focus on fostering a Spiritual and Safe and Caring School environment. We were inspired by the presenter from the Terry Fox Foundation, who spoke to the students about perseverance and the importance of helping others. This year, our K-4 students participated in a walk along St. Charles Street, while the Grade 4-8 students ran along Oxbow Bend Rd in support of the Terry Fox Foundation. Our school’s goal is to raise $500 for this important cause, so please consider donating via our website.
