Principal’s Update – December 13th, 2024
This week, our school was treated to a series of incredible music concerts, showcasing the immense talent and hard work of our students and staff. At the heart of it all was our amazing Music Teacher, Mrs. Christelle Gregorchuk. Her vision, talent, and tireless work ethic brought everything together beyond expectation. Over the past three months, her dedication to teaching and guiding our students has created something truly special.
The students were nothing short of phenomenal! Their energy, excitement, and joy were evident in every performance. Each note they played and sang moved us, reminding us of the incredible power of music to bring people together and uplift our spirits.
The Band Concert was particularly remarkable. These students, all of whom are new to their instruments, performed with the confidence and cohesion of seasoned musicians. Their hard work and dedication were evident, and the transformation they’ve undergone in their attitudes toward music over the past few months has been inspiring. They are embracing challenges, growing in their skills, and sounding more like a true band with every performance.
The Christmas Concerts were equally magical. The sound of Christmas music during this special time of year brought warmth and joy to everyone in attendance. Our students sounded amazing, and their hard work shone brightly. This year, students in Grades 3-5 also took on the challenge of learning new instruments, including the ukulele, recorder, and xylophone, adding even more depth to their musical education.
Our choirs, composed of students from multiple grades, were nothing short of impressive. Their performances were visually and vocally stunning, and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.
Looking ahead, we are excited about what’s next for our music program: Music Festival performances! With such talented students and an exceptional leader in Mrs. Gregorchuk, the future of music at our school is incredibly bright. Congratulations to all the students and staff on an unforgettable week of music and celebration!
