TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK…
- Monday, we had indoor afternoon recess due to the partial solar eclipse. Students had the opportunity to learn about the partial eclipse, and some of our students even watched the eclipse happen in other parts of the world too.
- Tuesday, our grades 7 & 8 students had Enrichment classes.
- Wednesday Lifetouch was here to do the Kinder Grad and Gr. 8 Farewell photos.
- Mrs. Prettie and I attended the Caritas Dinner on Thursday evening.
- Tomorrow, our teaching staff will attend the Manitoba Federation of Independent Schools workshop at the Victoria Inn. The day will be spent learning about the Manitoba Framework of Learning and will be presented by the Department of Education.
LOOK WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT WEEK…
- Our grades 7 & 8 students will have Enrichment classes on Tuesday morning.
- Our grade 5 students will have a presentation from Scientists in School on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Mrs. Prettie and I will attend our monthly Board Meeting on Wednesday evening.

LOOK WHAT’S COMING UP IN APRIL…
- Monday, April 22nd is Earth Day Colour Day. Wear blue and green. 😊
- There is a Musical Bake Sale on April 22nd.
- The badminton tournaments begin the week of April 22nd.
- School Mass is on Tuesday, April 23rd @ 10:30am.
- Grades 5 & 6 parents are invited to a Camp Manitou Parent Meeting on Wednesday, April 24th @ 6:00pm in the main gym.
- Grades 6 & 7 parents are invited to a Rome Trip Information Meeting on Wednesday, April 24th @ 6:30pm in the main gym. Make plans to attend and hear more about our upcoming Rome Trip for Spring Break 2025. Exciting!
- Uniform Fitting Day for the 2020-2025 school year will be held on Thursday, April 25th. A Sign-Up Genius link was sent out earlier this week to book your appointment.
- There will be a PML noon recital on April 30th.
BASC
- There is BLINE on Monday and Wednesday.
- There are 3 spots left in the older students Tennis.
- Golf has a few spots left.

SCIENCE FAIR
Congratulations to all grade 7 and 8 students. The SCCS Science Fair was a wonderful success. The projects were wonderful and showed an excellent understanding of either the scientific method or the engineering design process. A special congratulations to our winners:

Our school is performing “Junie B. Jones Jr.” at the Winnipeg Art Gallery on May 6th. Tickets are $10.00. Purchase tickets in the front office or contact Ms. Furutani. Tickets are only sold at the school.
Musical Gift Baskets are in the front entrance. Tickets are $2.00. There are 3 baskets. Tickets are available in the front office.
Tickets will also be available after school in the front area.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS COLOURING CONTEST WINNERS
Congratulations to the following students who competed in the Knights of Columbus Keep Christ in Christmas colouring contest in December. We have finally been informed of the winners. They are:

SCCS GOLF TOURNAMENT
This year’s Golf Tournament is Thursday, May 23, 2024 @ Breezy Bend Golf Course, please mark it in your calendars! We need help from the entire St Charles community to make this a success. We need golfers, hole sponsors (tax receipt provided) and we need prize donations. Forms can be found on the school website.
