TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEK…
- On Monday, re-registrations for the 2023-2024 school year were distributed. They are due back by February 24th, 2023.
- Tuesday was School Mass. Msgr. Comeault celebrated Mass with us.
- Tuesday was our annual Kinder Fair and Grs. 1-8 General Open House. A very special thank you to the parents who provided the refreshments for this evening. They were enjoyed by all who attended!
- I Love to Read month began on Wednesday, and we had a kickoff assembly to celebrate.
- Wednesday was Subway Lunch for those students who ordered.
- Popcorn Day was on Friday.
LOOKING AHEAD TO NEXT WEEK…
- Our Middle Years students begin their exams on Monday-Thursday. Wishing all of our students the best of luck as they journey through next week. Information was sent home this week to all families with important details on exam procedures.
- Learn to Skate continues Monday for our K-2 students.
- Mrs. Prettie and I will be attending a workshop on Tuesday after school on Governance Fundamentals.
- I will be away Wednesday morning at my Principal’s Meeting at the Archdiocese office.
- On Wednesday morning, our K-2 students will be having a guest speaker from the National Truth & Reconciliation office.
- Wednesday is Pizza Lunch for those students who have ordered.
- Friday is the Ski Trip for our Middle Years students. There are no Middle Years classes that day as all Middle Years teachers are on the Ski Trip.
- Friday is Crazy Sock & Joke Day for our K-5 students.
NOT TOO FAR AWAY …
- Catholic Schools Week begins Feb. 13th-17th. Many fun-filled activities are being planned for that week. 😊
- There will be no school on Feb. 17th as staff will be participating in our annual Catholic Schools Day PD Conference at St. Paul’s High School.
- There is no school/no BASC on Feb. 20th as it is Louis Riel Day.
- Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast is coming Feb. 21st.
- Ash Wednesday School Mass is on Feb. 22nd.
- Pink Shirt Day will be held on Feb. 23rd.
- Re-registrations for the 2023-2024 school year are due no later than Feb. 24th to secure your spot for the next school year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please remember that BASC opens at 7am and closes at 6pm. Do not drop off your child prior to 7:00am.
If students are dropped off at the school between 7:00 am and 8:15 am, they are required to go to BASC and will be charged accordingly. There are no exceptions.
Morning recess is at 8:15 until the bell rings at 8:35am.

- The Valentine craft is on Wednesday.
- There is No BLINE scheduled on Wednesday.
- There is no school on Friday, February 17th , there is full day BASC with a few spots left but must be registered by Monday February 6th to attend.
- No school and no BASC on Monday, February 20th.

WELL WISHES
Wishing Bronson, one of our Gr. 5 students, all the best as he and his family leave our SCCS community to move to their new home. Good luck Bronson! We will miss you.
Also, wishing Mr. Clinton Sahulka, our K-5 term French teacher, the best as he leaves our SCCS community. Mr. Sahulka resigned this week due to personal reasons.

GLENLEA GREENHOUSES FUNDRAISER – ORDER NOW!
Excited for Spring? We are once again partnering with Glenlea Greenhouses for a Spring Fundraiser. Order a variety of high-quality plants and veggies online and our school will benefit! All orders can be placed online now until April 15th, and you’re encouraged to order early for best selection. The Greenhouse has indicated that this is a popular fundraiser and they do sell out of plants. Simply follow the details in the enclosed letter.
