Make a Meaningful Impact This Year: Consider a Gift of Securities

As the end of the calendar year approaches, many families are looking for meaningful ways to support the causes closest to their hearts. If you’re considering a donation, giving publicly traded securities, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, can be one of the most impactful and tax-effective ways to contribute here in Canada.
When you donate securities, you can eliminate the capital gains tax that would normally be owed if those investments were sold, while still receiving a charitable tax receipt for the full fair market value. This means your gift can go even further in supporting our mission, at no additional cost to you.
Your generosity plays a vital role in strengthening our community, and every contribution, large or small, truly makes a difference. As we approach year-end, we invite you to consider this special way of giving and to take advantage of the available tax benefits before December 31.
To make a donation of security, simply please complete the form attached and either send it directly to the RBC agent detailed on the form, or return it to the school, attention Athina Dinos at finance@stccs.ca. Funds may be directed to the Bursary fund, the Playground and Turf fund, or the Capital Improvement fund.
