Extra-Curricular Activities:

Be Like Terry

Our School Message

We are very pleased to once again be a part of the Terry Fox School Run Event as we encourage our students to develop a sense of volunteerism and goodwill, while celebrating school spirit. Please support our school by making a donation. Your kindness will impact the lives of so many people living with cancer.

Intramurals and Extra-Curricular Physical Education

(Program changes due to Covid-19)

Students are invited to participate in one of many forms of an organized intramural program offered during noon hours. Some highlights of this past year have been the K-2 Soccer league, the 3-8 co-operative games (FUNtramurals), sport intramurals, as well as our skipping and dance clubs. Students may also participate in intramural badminton, floor hockey, flag football, basketball and soccer. Grades 5-6 students are provided with leadership opportunities as coaches, referees, scorekeepers and overall organizers. Throughout the year, students also participate in a variety of sports activities including Spring Camp (Gr. 5&6), Winter Camp (Gr. 7&8), downhill skiing (Gr. 6-8), bowling (Gr. K-2) and winter outdoor sports at Harbourview (Gr. 3-5).

Competitive Sports

(Currently competitive sports have been cancelled, Covid-19 protocol.)
St. Charles is a member of the MCSAA, Manitoba Catholic Schools Athletics Association. As such, we compete against other Independent Schools in the city. In 2018-19 the MY students competed in Cross Country, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Soccer and Track. To accommodate skill sets of our athletes, SCCS competes in the Competitive and or Developmental levels in league play.
