Attachment:
As we come to the close of another school year, I would like to sincerely thank you for an incredible year. It has been filled with cherished memories, and we are so grateful for your ongoing support and partnership.
I am extremely proud of our students. They continue to demonstrate kindness, respect, and a strong commitment to meeting expectations each and every day. On behalf of our entire staff, thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being such a supportive school community.
This is our final principal update for the school year. Should you have any questions over the summer, please refer to the school website, as most summer questions are addressed there.
The school office will reopen on August 25. I will respond to emails at that time; however, I will be available for emergency situations only throughout the summer. If you do receive communication from me during this time, please note that it is urgent.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable summer. Take time to create new memories, enjoy meaningful moments together, and embrace new adventures. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall- in your new uniforms, with big smiles, and ready to share your summer stories.

Thank you for a wonderful year and for laying such a strong foundation for our students’ learning journey.

ONLINE SAFETY REMINDER FOR FAMILIES
The Winnipeg Police Service has recently shared an important advisory highlighting growing concerns about online safety for children and youth. They note that individuals are increasingly targeting young people through popular platforms such as gaming apps and social media, especially those who may be feeling vulnerable.
Families are encouraged to stay engaged with their children’s online activity and watch for signs such as sudden changes in behaviour, secrecy around devices, or exposure to concerning content.
We recommend having open conversations with your children about online safety and ensuring they know to speak to a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right. Supporting our students’ well-being-both online and offline-continues to be a shared priority.
SUPER SONIC SOCCER
Our Grades 4–6 and Grades 7–8 students represented St. Charles with pride at this year’s track and field meets. From start to finish, our athletes demonstrated determination, sportsmanship, and a strong commitment to doing their best. This is our list of medalists from the track meets, and it reflects both individual excellence and team effort.
A sincere thank you to our staff for their organization and support, and to our parents for ensuring students arrived, were picked up, and were supported throughout the events. Your partnership plays a vital role in making these opportunities possible
TERM 3 REPORT CARDS
Report cards will only be distributed on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 30th. Students will receive their report cards at dismissal time (11:35am).
If your child will not be in attendance on June 30th, you may pick up their report card from the school starting at 8 am. Please note that our staff and student body will be at Mass from 10-11 am and the Front Office will be closed during that time, so report cards will not be available during this hour.
Any uncollected report cards after 2 pm will be held at the school and available for pick up when the office re-opens on August 25th. Thank you for your cooperation and support!
STUDENT PLACEMENTS
Your child’s report card will indicate who their teacher will be for the upcoming school year. Please note that full class lists are not shared.
Student placements have been carefully and thoughtfully determined by staff and administration, with many factors considered to ensure a balanced and supportive learning environment for all students. These decisions are final and will not be changed under any circumstances. Thank you
Please notify the office
If your child will be absent on the last day of school, Tuesday, June 30th, please email reception@stccs.ca as soon as possible to notify the Front Office for attendance purposes. Thankyou!
BUILDING AND GROUNDS
Safety fencing has been installed at the back of the school in preparation for upcoming foundation repairs to the 1906 building. This work will also include updates to the downspouts and eavestroughs. These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to preserving this historic building and ensuring it continues to provide safe, high-quality learning spaces for our students.
ROME 2027
A parent information session will be scheduled in September for students in Grades 7 and 8. Families interested in this opportunity are encouraged to attend. Preliminary details, including the proposed itinerary, estimated costs, and key timelines, will be shared.
